The highly anticipated Direct Digital Sales Agent (DDSA) App, designed by innovative tech powerhouse, D-Degree Digital Hub was officially launched in a grand ceremony on June 30, 2025, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey. The event, attended by captains of industry and stakeholders including members of several digital marketing association in Nigeria comprising acquisition experts, aggregators, ambassadors and agents.
The groundbreaking platform designed to address youth unemployment and foster digital entrepreneurship across Africa, is the brainchild of Mr. Olaniyi Dopamu, CEO of D-Degree Digital Hub. In his opening address during the special unveiling to stakeholders, prelude to national launch in the later part of the year, highlighted the inspiring vision to develop the App, emphasizing the company’s commitment to innovation, transparency and accountability in its operations.
“D-Degree is not in competition with anyone”, noting that, “our mission is to empower Nigerian youths with the tools and opportunities to thrive in the global digital economy. We are here to collaborate, innovate, and create sustainable impact.”
Dopamu expressed gratitude to the Federal Government of Nigeria for its unwavering support, noting that the DDSA application aligns with the current federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes digital infrastructure and youth empowerment, highlighting that the platform’s potential to create job opportunities for over 50 million Nigerian youths, addressing the pressing issue of unemployment in the country.
DDSA’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Segun Agunbiade, provided insights into what sets the App apart from other digital applications. He said, “DDSA is not just another app; it’s a transformative ecosystem tailored to the needs of Nigerian youth.” Continuing, “It offers accessible, professionally curated digital skills training, networking opportunities, and entrepreneurial resources, all designed to foster self-reliance and innovation”, he explained.
Agunbiade emphasized the intrinsic benefits of the Nigerian youth embracing DDSA to acquire globally competitive skills, reduce unemployment, and contribute to nation-building. He highlighted the platform’s user-friendly interface and its focus on practical, market-relevant skills such as digital marketing, software development, and fintech, which are critical for emerging industries in Nigeria.
In his comments, Mr. Ed Malik, A, the Editor-in-chief of DDNews Online, the media base of the digital powerhouse, described DDSA as a revolutionary platform with global significance. “I have traveled extensively, working in all gamut of mass communication and have seen many digital initiatives but DDSA stands out as a first-class application.” He stated, “I can tell you from the point of understanding that DDSA’s seamless integration of education, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation is sure to reshape the global landscape, in a significant way.”

The launch reiterated the Federal Government’s pivotal role in supporting D-Degree’s vision. The DDSA application aligns with initiatives like the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy, which aims to achieve 95% digital literacy by 2030. The government’s collaboration with private entities like D-Degree reflects a broader commitment to tackling youth unemployment, a critical issue in Nigeria, where over 50% of the population and unemployed demography is under 30 years of age.
Overall, the launch of the D-Degree Digital Hub’s DDSA application marks a turning point in closing Nigeria’s unemployment and skill gaps. By providing free, accessible, and high-quality digital training, DDSA empowers young Nigerians to compete globally while fostering economic resilience.
The operators of the App have urged young Nigerians to secure their spots on the digital ecosystem, registering on the DDSA platform and taking advantage of its resources, in order to leverage government’s efforts and over 270 vocational training partnerships offered by corporations like Google, UNICEF and D-Degree Digital Hub.
