In a landmark event that underscores the spirit of community service and development, the Omo Olofin Foundation, a cultural cornerstone based in Ota, has proudly announced its endorsement of High Chief Olanrewaju Abayomi Bashorun, popularly known as Larry Bash, to represent the people of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government in the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja, in the 2027 general election.

This significant endorsement, which took place at the residence of High Chief Bashorun, is not a political maneuver but a clarion call to service for the progress and upliftment of Ota Awori land. Leading the charge, I, Prince Icon Adebola Ogungbayi (Sky), Chairman and CEO of Omo Olofin T.V., alongside distinguished members of our foundation, expressed unwavering support for Seriki, as he is fondly called, for his exemplary dedication to our community.

High Chief Bashorun has long been a pillar of support for Ado-Odo/Ota, with contributions that outshine even those of many in government. His "Stay in School Foundation," as it has been affectionately dubbed by local youth, supports over 150 students across the local government by covering their school fees, ensuring that education remains accessible to the next generation. This initiative, among many others, reflects Seriki’s unyielding commitment to the community a commitment that has never wavered.

Hon. Prince Ogungbayi Sunday Adeyemi (OSA), a prominent PDP member, spoke passionately at the event, emphasizing that his support transcends party lines. "I remain a card-carrying member of the PDP," OSA declared, "but my support is for the development of Ado-Odo/Ota, not any individual or party." He believes Seriki is the right person to reshape the political narrative of our constituency, vowing to stand by him unless a more qualified son of the soil emerges from his party.

Echoing this sentiment, Asiwaju Kunle Bankole, CEO of Kitigbe TV, expressed his long-standing admiration for Seriki. "I’ve been a fan of his work for years," he said. "Now that he’s stepping forward, the responsibility lies with him to lead us toward a brighter future."
The event was graced by an array of community leaders, including Com. Adewale Adeosun, Com. Faolabi Olayinka, Com. Chief Adeyemi Alao Ajibowu (Ajana of Ikola Ogunsye), Com. Kamla Yusuf, Chief Wasiu Fatusi (Aro of Ejigbo Mekun), Prince Alamu Adeshina (Olobele), Com. Abayomi Adaranijo (Olu Omo), Prince Olaniyi Obasanya, and Com. Ibrahim Babatunde Adeley. Their presence underscored the unity and collective resolve behind this movement.

The Omo Olofin Foundation calls on all residents of Ado-Odo/Ota to rally behind High Chief Bashorun, a true son of the soil, as we work together to build a future defined by progress, unity, and opportunity. This endorsement is a testament to our belief in Seriki’s vision and leadership to transform Ado-Odo/Ota for the better.
