First of its Kind in The History of Yoruba race as Ooni of Ife Ojaja The Second Host The First Convention with Yoruba Obas

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja the II has called for Yoruba cultural unity.

He made this known at the first edition of the National Convention and Conference of Traditional Rulers. The exclusive event held at the Ife Grand Resorts and Leisure in Osun State.

The event lasted for four days and in attendance were several Yoruba Obas  across the region.

According to his Imperial Majesty, unity, progress and peaceful coexistence among traditional rulers will promote Yoruba cultural heritage.

The event educated traditional rulers on how to unite and promote the traditional institutions of Yoruba land.

Furthermore, the Ooni said:

“the platform will enable traditional rulers in Yoruba land come together and fashion a way forward to promote the cultural heritage of the region”.

Among key speakers was the Aare Ona Kakanfo, Oloye Otunba Gani Adams.

 he stressed the need to champion common goals of Yoruba traditional institution.

Also, young minds driven to unite Yoruba Rulers and tackle burning issues within the traditional institution were in attendance.

The platform for traditional rulers is on WhatsApp and it is tagged ‘His Royal Majesty Heritage Forum’. The founders of the platform said their vision is to merge technology and traditional institutions through social media.

In addition, there was a Gala and award night, which was the first of its kind in the region.

There was a drafted communiqué after series of deliberations and submissions from the convention. Towards achieving sustainable unity and progress, of the Yoruba race.
