Below are pictures showing PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the party’s chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, today signing the National Peace Accord in Abuja ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Atiku who was absent yesterday when President Muhammadu Buhari and other presidential candidates signed the accord gave reasons for his absence.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Paul Ibe, the Waziri of Adamawa said, “I can confirm that Abubakar did not receive any formal invitation to the signing of the peace pact.”
Atiku wasn’t the only one absent yesterday. Former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili, former official of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Kingsley Moghalu were also absent at the event.
